The Kindersley Composite School Kobras defeated the Martensville Royals under the lights on Friday in their high school football home opener by a score of 22-1.

The Kobras now have a record of 2-1 and host Delisle this Friday beginning at 4 p.m. Delisle has a record of 3-0 this season and defeated the Kobras 22-2 in Delisle on Sept. 15.

After a slow start on Friday, the Kobras seemed to gain confidence and were able to pull out the win.

“It was a great game for our offence,” said head coach Tavis Lehman. “They were able to build some confidence up as the game went along and move forward.”

He said the coaches did a great job in recognizing what the team needed to do better.
