The Kindersely Klippers need to score more goals.

The Klippers lost three of four Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League games on the road last week and it didn’t turn out the way they wanted.

“It was disappointing to be honest,” said coach Geoff Grimwood. “We thought we could get at least three wins out of the four, but the teams played really hard against us and we just weren’t able to score enough goals.

Our goaltending was great again, but we have to get some more goals to give them support. It is tough to win, when you only score one or two goals. We have to get at least three or four to give the team a chance,” he adds. “We have to go to the net harder and produce more goals.”

The Klippers started off the week, in Melville and ended up losing this one, 3-2 in overtime, after having a 2-0 lead after one period of play. Wednesday, they lost in Yorkton, 4-3 after the Terriers scored three unanswered in the third to pull of the win.

Friday, back in Yorkton, they fell behind early and lost 4-1.

Saturday, though, they were able to come back, and earn a 2-1 overtime victory, with Keillan Olson scoring both goals, one on the power play and one in overtime to get the win.

Next Tuesday, they hit the road again for a game in Nipawin and in Melfort Wednesday.
