The town’s elected officials have announced Audrey Hebert as the town’s next chief administrative officer (CAO).
The announcement was made official at the council meeting on Sept. 24 and a resolution was made to appoint Hebert, the town’s former director of corporate services, as the town’s next CAO. Mayor Rod Perkins made the announcement at the onset of the meeting.

He noted that council went through about 25 applications for the CAO position, and the hiring process took about two and a half months to complete. About six Skype interviews and three in-person interviews were completed by council. The decision was made after council had screened all applicants.
“We’re very pleased to announce that we have a signed contract with Audrey Hebert to assume the CAO duties,” Perkins said. Hebert’s appointment officially becomes effective on Oct. 1.
After council passed the resolution to appoint Hebert, the mayor said the new administrator has done a wonderful job as the interim chief administrative officer.
Hebert is successor to Bernie Morton, who resigned in the summer.
In related news, Kim Vogel, the town’s director of transportation and environmental services, has been appointed as deputy administrator.
