Kindersley Peewee Falcons

Feb. 10 provincial game: The Kindersley Source for Sports Falcons had their first provincial game on Saturday versus the Rosetown Redwings in what was expected to be a close game – and it was, at 3-3.

Rosetown got off to an early lead three minutes in off a wraparound, catching the Falcons by surprise. Jace Reichert pounced on a loose puck in front of the net and tied it up five minutes later.

Rosetown would add another giving them a 2-1 lead going into the first intermission.

The Redwings came out hard in the second scoring just seven seconds in which gave the Redwings now three power play goals so far in the game. The Falcons didn’t give up and Calvin Feader scored on the rush with five minutes gone in the third to give the Falcons some hope.

Pryce Theissen added another five minutes later to tie things up and the game ended in a 3-3 tie.

Game 2 is in Kindersley on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

Feb 11: League play also continued for the Falcons as the regular season is close to wrapping up. They took on North Battleford on Sunday afternoon and continue their good play as of late with a 7-2 victory.

The Battlefords Barons got off to the early lead just one minute in but Kindersley answered back 30 seconds later when Brandon Miller let a hard shot go from the slot going top shelf leaving things tied up going into the first intermission.

The flood gates opened in the second period with the Falcons scoring four goals, two from Calvin Feader, also Rhett Dimitroff, and Seth Klein adding one each. The Falcons went into the third period with a comfortable lead but that didn’t stop Feader from netting his third of the game, and Brandon Miller adding his second to cap things off.
