The Kindersley Composite School boys and girls curling teams are district champions, after winning their respective titles on Friday in Kindersley. They will now advance to the regionals in Moose Jaw. Shown here, in front, are members of the girls team, from left: Brittany Allen, Emily Polsfut, Caitlyn Elliott, Emily Sproule and Blair Gilmour. There were only two teams involved in the boys and girls playoffs and they played a best-of-three round. The girls played LCBI and the boys played Dinsmore. The KCS teams swept both playoffs in two straight games. Both teams that KCS played will also advance to Moose Jaw. There were also four mixed team competing in Friday’s district championships, including two teams from Rosetown, and teams from Davidson and Dinsmore. Rosetown’s Team Sutherland finished first, followed by Rosetown’s team Olivier in second.
