Having picked up their second win of the season, the Kindersley Kobras are to host the John Paul II Crusaders this Friday to close out their regular high school football league season.
The Kobras won a night game in Rosetown last Friday, beating the hometown Royals 17-14.
With the win, the Kobras improved their record to 2-3.

They led the Royals 7-0 at half time. The teams were tied 14-14 after three quarters.
Preston Edgerton got the Kobras on the scoreboard first when he rushed left and in from six yards in the first quarter
Shaun Cranston scored their second major, rushing in from four yards on a fourth quarter, third-and-goal situation.
Lucas Lizee sent a punt that got by Royals returner Daniel Wiebe and into Rosetown’s end zone, leading to Wiebe conceding a single.
The Kobras’ 15-14 lead widened at 8:33 of the fourth quarter. They were stopped on third and goal at the Rosetown three-yard line. The Royals threw incomplete twice, leading to third down. Wiebe, in at quarterback then and trying to pass from his end zone amid pressure, gave up a safety touch.
The Royals scored both their touchdowns in the third quarter. Starting quarterback Carsan Crossman threw across the middle to offensive end Luc Charpentier on a 34-yard, pass-and-run play. Wiebe scored on a two-yard quarterback sneak.
“This season’s been really swingy with the games we’ve been to, pretty one-sided in a lot of games,” said Kobra head coach Tavis Lehman.
“It was nice to come out to this one; pretty evenly matched teams, good competition, close the whole game. It was nice we could put a good team effort together and get the victory.”
