Members of the east coast band Pretty Archie perform for a crowd of about 100 people at the Norman Ritchie Community Centre on Nov. 28 as part of the Kindersley & District Arts Council’s annual Stars for Saskatchewan concert series. Band members (l-r) Scott McLean, Brian Cathcart and Colin Gillis stood all show while banjo player and percussionist Redmond MacDougall switched back and forth between his two instruments. The band members told stories about their songs and life in Cape Breton. Pretty Archie, a band that got its name from a well known Cape Breton character who was known to play a guitar with two strings nearly anywhere at any time, was the fourth of 10 shows in the concert series. The next show, Erin Costello, takes place on Jan. 15 at the community centre.
