Calgary’s Business: What is Tundra Process Solutions and what do you do?

Domagalski: Tundra Process Solutions is a leading supplier of industrial valve, measurement and process control solutions in Western Canada.

Our partnerships with Toshiba, ABB, MSA, Farris and other leading manufacturers, combined with our in-house technical expertise, allow us to deliver world-class technologies with exceptional local service and support. Our mission is to partner with manufacturers and clients to build a safe, clean and sustainable future.

CB: How and when was the business created?

Domagalski: The business was created in 1999 by founder and president Dan Peet. There was a lack of young, hungry competitors in this market, and to this day Tundra still operates as a young, hungry company that truly wants to earn business.

CB: What was the biggest challenge you faced in growing the business?

Domagalski: When we were a small company, we faced challenges around gaining trust with large clients, and them believing we could execute what we promised. We have overcome those challenges and these days our challenges are finding new markets to grow into, and ensuring we keep the same great culture we have always had.

CB: How has business been for the company during a tough period in Alberta’s economic history?

Domagalski: Like most businesses related to oil and gas, we have felt the pinch. However, with the market picking up we’re growing and hiring again, and opened three new offices in the last year, and have plans to open more.

CB: What are your plans for the company in the future?

Domagalski: Our growth plans are centred around new geographies and new solutions for our clients, and of course finding top-notch talent to help us execute. That’s how we have always grown and that’s how we plan to continue our growth strategy.
