A fire burned out of control on Nov. 7 at a shop located on Seventh Avenue West in Kindersley’s industrial area. Members of the Kindersley Fire and Rescue Brigade were dispatched to the fire at 3:37 p.m., and all units were returned to the fire hall and back in service by midnight. Several explosions were heard on scene, likely caused by exploding tires.

Fire Chief Ron Hope says firefighters worked on hot spots until after 11 p.m. According to Hope, the cause of the fire was still under investigation as of Nov. 10, and he expects the investigation to take more time.
