Three-way tie for top spot in FVBL

The Oyen Eagles, Kindersley Stallions and Raiders are tied for first place in the Fertile Valley Baseball League (FVBL) heading into play this week.

The Stallions just played one game last week, an 8-2 home win over the Eatonia Wheat Kings June 13. Their match against the Kindersley Raiders scheduled for Thursday night had to be postponed.

The Raiders, meanhwile, defeated the Klippers 11-10 June 12, then had the Thursday postponement.

The Eagles, meanwhile, had the week off, not playing since June 11th, when they beat the Kindersley Cubs in Oyen.

On the schedule, the Stallions will take on the Kindersley Royals Wednesday and Thursday they will be in Kyle to take on the Yellow Jackets. Next Monday, June 25, they will take on the Kindersley Cubs.

The Raiders will be in Eatonia to take on the Wheat Kings, Friday, they host the Elrose Aces and next Wednesday, the 27th, they will take on the Cubs.

In Monday’s lone game, the Outlook River Hawks defeated the hometown Kindersley Royals 7-5.

In other FVBL action yesterday (Tuesday) – Rostown in Kindersley vs the Klippers; Cubs will be in Kyle. Wednesday – Eatonia in Outlook Raiders in Eatonia and Stallions vs the Royals. Thursday – Cubs are in Rosetown and the Stallions travel to Kyle. Friday – the Aces will visit the Klippers and the Raiders;  and Beechy will be in Oyen.

Next Monday, June 25, Oulook will visit Elrose and the Cubs will take on the Stallions. Tuesday, Kyle will be in Rosetown and Beechy visits Eatonia.
