The papers are signed and Kindersley’s Connor Tate will be golfing for the Arizona Christian University Firestorm come the 2017-18 school year.
Tate will attend the 11th-ranked golf program in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, where he’ll get to golf and study business right in Phoenix.
It’s been a goal for Tate to sign with a college for golf. He said the process started in terms of recruitment more than a year ago, but the sport side of the process started well before.
“It’s a really good feeling knowing that all my hard work is paying off,” Tate said. “Hopefully I can just keep grinding and do good when I go down there.”
