The West Central Events Centre was bumping and the beasts were bucking for the Kindersley Indoor Rodeo Thursday through Saturday.

Brock’s Clayton Strutt rode a horse called Sky Fall to a score of 78 in bareback on Saturday night at the 26th annual Kindersley Indoor Rodeo. The score was good for second place on the weekend

A Canadian Cowboys Association record for contestants was set. There were an estimated 411 entries for the three-day rodeo, the most in the half-century existence of the CCA.

Every seat was filled on Thursday night for the family night, as well as on Saturday night for the final day. Friday was slightly less busy, but still there weren’t many empty seats as folks took in some high-stakes action.

Top finishers in the main events were able to bring home more than $1,000 most of the time, and over $5,000 went to the tandem of Stacy Cornet and Riley Warren, who won the tie-down roping with a time of 4.8 seconds. (All results in this report are unofficial.)

Colanna Slade’s 13.12-second mark in the ladies barrel racing earned her $3,726.
