KCS basketball teams head into playoffs

The Kindersley Composite School girls will host a 3A conference basketball playoffs this Friday and Saturday with the top four of the six teams moving on to the regional tournament.

The KCS girls will kick off the tournament Friday at 5:45 p.m. when they take on Rosetown. The one other game Friday will see Outlook take on Maple Creek.

The winner of the opening game will play Caronport in one semifinal Saturday morning, while the winner of Friday’s second game will play Assiniboia.

The winners of the Saturday morning games will play in a championship final scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

On the senior boys side, the KCS team will be in Biggar. The boys, who are ranked second in the conference, will battle the hometown Biggar squad Saturday at 11:45 a.m. for a chance to move on to the finals.

On the other side of the draw, Maple Creek and Rosetown will play off Friday night with the winner having to play Delisle Saturday morning. The winner of this game will advance to the finals.

The top two teams will advance to the regionals.
