Kindersley Kobras coach Tavis Lehman says he is excited to start the new high school football league season after a provincial run that resulted in a runner-up silver medal in 2017.

The team graduated eight players, some of whom played on both sides of the ball. It is expected that the younger players step up and fill positions from the departed players. The coach says he is sure he has the right players to come together after an excellent season last year.

The offence is expected to be in the capable hands of Hudson Bahm, who will start at the quarterback position. Bahm has played the backup roll since his Grade 9 year, although he has some playing time behind centre in the past two seasons.

Coach Lehman says he is confident Bahm has a firm grasp of the offence that he is expected to run, so he isn’t worried about a slow start to the season. The offensive line is returning and ready to play a major role in protecting the quarterback and giving Bahm time to move the ball.
